What is SCORE Program ?
In September 2014 BEDO obtained a licence to run the Sustaining Competitive & Responsible Enterprises Program in Indonesia.
Beginning on December 2014, the program is aimed at improving SMEs competitiveness and sustainability through better productivity & application of good and responsible practices. SCORE Program was firstly initiated by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and funded by the Swiss government (Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs/SECO) and Norwegian government (the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation/NORAD). This global program is implemented by seven countries (Indonesia, China, Vietnam, India, Colombia, South Africa and Ghana). In Indonesia, SCORE program is developed and implemented by the Ministry of Manpower & Transmigration, the Association of Indonesian Employers (Apindo), Indonesian Confederations of Labour unions/Trade Unions, & ILO.
Objective of SCORE Indonesia
SCORE is a program aimed at improving SMEs’ competitiveness and sustainability, so that they can be more productive, clean, competitive, able to apply responsible practices. The SCORE methodology consisting in classroom training & company visits by expert instructors on how to improve workplace cooperation, productivity, product quality & production efficiency.
SCORE methodology
SCORE Methodology is based on practical experiences and results of practices related to better productivity program or Factory improvement program in Cambodia & China.
1. Target Companies:
- SMEs with 30-250 workers
- Dealing with manufacture
- Commitment from business owners
- Willing to provide data to measure productivity
2. Training Phases:
- Phase 1 – Baseline Assessment
- Phase 2 – Two days Workshop
- Phase 3 – Three companies visits
3. Training modules:
- Mandatory module – Workplace cooperation
- Quality Management module
- Productivity & Cleaner Production module
- Human Resource module
- Occupational Safety & Health module
